The super bloom in the Scottsdale desert was on full display at the Granite Mountain Loop Trail. I could not believe in all my years of hiking and exploring I had never been to this particular trail. I thank Deborah and Chris for scouting and suggesting this amazing location (In case you were wondering I had a proper permit to photograph on location, required by the City of Scottsdale.) Deborah and Chris are a hiking couple and seem to be like me- most happy out on the trail. When talking about engagement pictures it was a no-brainer that the location would be out hiking. Lucky for us this is the most incredible year for wildflowers. The desert is as alive and lush with color as I have ever seen. We hiked a portion of the loop trail, the farther from the parking lot we walked the more impressive the boulders got and the better the flowers. A pink and purple sunset ended our perfect evening.
